Move In & Style It Up: 4 Columbus Stores to Help Accessorize Your New Apartment

We’re thrilled to welcome new residents to The View at Pavey Square, and we want to see you enjoy your new home as much as possible. One of the best ways to do that is to make it your cozy haven away from the busyness of the outside world. Here are some of our favorite Columbus home decor shops close to home and Ohio State University that will help you design your new apartment exactly the way you want.

Flower Child

This is the perfect place for those of you who love the 20th century vibe. Here, you’ll find antiques and collectibles from the 1930s to the 1980s. Western boots, record players, Gildna Radner paper dolls, unicorn knickknacks … they’ve got it all! And aside from big furniture items, they pride themselves on providing customers with prices that fall into the category of “Midwestern thrifty,” which means this will be easy on your budget.

Happy Go Lucky Home & Her

Though Columbus residents know this shop as a women’s clothing boutique, they also happen to sell quirky home decor items – and items that are not just “for her.” Check out their Big Cat Wall Art for a truly unique addition to your new apartment. Their art prints featuring the state of Ohio or its well-known locales are also a great way to add style (and Columbus spirit) to your new home.

Elm & Iron

Head here if you want to seriously invest in some long-lasting pieces that you’ll be able to carry with you well into the future. Their prices run the gamut, but quality is always high. Try the Columbus floating skyline for those of you who prefer the minimalist, modern vibe. They also carry throw pillows in a variety of styles, clocks, and canvas art. And you’ll definitely want to check out the black and gold lighted signs that feature names of Midwestern cities.

Much like Happy Go Lucky, this little shop on Grandview (there’s one in German Village, too), well-known for its fun women’s clothing, also features a large collection of housewares and home decor. Their simple text-based art (like their “Do the work” print), funky bookends (check out the cast-iron whale), and cotton throws are the perfect additions to a stylish The View at Pavey Square home.
