Congratulations on the momentous accomplishment of graduating from college! Before you head out from The View on Pavey Square for the last time, check out one of these Columbus destinations for a little celebration with your friends.
Where Can I Go to Celebrate in a Beautiful Outdoor Location?
Gather your friends and head to the Franklin Park Conservatory and Botanical Gardens. Explore the stunning gardens, including the Conservatory, the Bonsai Collection, the John F. Wolfe Palm House, and the amazing Chihuly Collection, a display of stunning glass artwork in a garden setting.
And if you want something a little on the unusual side, something fun and classy, check out the Topiary Park. This seven-acre park recreates the tableau in Georges Seurat’s A Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grande Jatte. This park was founded in 1989 and has only gotten better since then. It’s a great way to explore post-impressionist art, gardening, landscaping, and horticulture. Plus, it’s the perfect place for taking some made-for-Instagram photos to celebrate this transition in your life.
Where Can I Immerse Myself in Good Food & Good Fun?
Enjoy delicious food and an immersion into another culture over at the German Village and Brewery District. Shop, explore, and drop by Schmidt’s Restaurant und Sausage Haus for some delicious German fare.
Where Can I Go for a Truly Unique Celebration?
If you want to celebrate “outside the box,” head over to Otherworld. There, you’ll find 32,000 square feet of immersive art installations across more than 40 rooms. This isn’t a museum – the exhibits here are interactive and visitors are encouraged to dive into this stunning world of fantasy and sci-fi.
Where Can I Go for Fun & Games?
Lockology Escape Rooms is the perfect destination for a fun celebration with your loved ones. The rooms are filled with clues and puzzles. There are different themes, including ghost hunter, archaeologist, and crime scene investigator, and each theme has an objective to complete in order to “escape.” Be sure to hurry, though: you only have 60 minutes!
Take some time this season to celebrate your accomplishments and mark the occasion. And don’t forget to follow The View on Pavey Square’s blog to keep up with everything going on in Columbus.
